The work inspection visitors’ book has been one of the biggest hassles that companies have had to bear. It was mandatory to have it available to present when an inspector asked for it. The state knew this, so companies created after 2013 were not required.

Since then, all the information has been updated electronically, which has made the process simpler. Previously, if an inspector wanted to know this data, he would ask for the visitors’ book, which usually gathered dust on some shelf or drawer.

The new diligence dictates that inspectors access the data via the Internet. This eliminates the obligation to have the visitors’ book, regardless of the company’s creation date.

What should the company do?

From now on , the company does not have to do anything, since updating the data via the Internet is transferred to the labour inspectorate. It was the most logical thing since they were the ones who carried out the inspection.

Implemented as the electronic visitor’s book, this system is expected to save companies a significant amount, approximately 700 million euros. This is a substantial saving, especially in the current economic climate, and is a change that should be appreciated.

While it may seem like a small change, the reality is that it will simplify the process significantly. This reassurance should help companies adapt to the new system with ease.

At Ilia Consultoria, we are pleased that the Ministry of Labour has finally extended and applied the regulation to all companies, regardless of their creation date. It was necessary to speed up the inspection process and do things right.
