Nowadays there are interesting bonuses and reductions for hiring workers. It is always good to know the advantages the law offers before hiring workers.

Ignorance makes it very difficult to apply them correctly. On too many occasions companies get lost in so much documentation, that’s why we will try to put a little light among so much darkness.

In this post, we will discuss some of the cases that can benefit us when hiring workers so that you have all the knowledge you need in your hands.

Bonuses and reductions for those under 30 years of age

The bonuses I will tell you about in this section can only be applied to hire minors under 30 years of age registered at the Employment Office. Without this condition, you will not be able to apply any reduction.

  • Part-time: for these cases, a 100% reduction in the business contribution for common contingencies is offered in companies with fewer than 250 employees. Assuming we have more workers, the reduction remains at 75%, which is not bad. It can be applied for 12 months and can extend for another 12 months. The rule will no longer be valid if unemployment drops below 15%.
  • Micro-businesses and self-employed workers: they can hire young people under 30 years of age with a 100% reduction in the quota for common contingencies. The duration is a maximum of 12 months or until the unemployment rate drops below 15%.

In addition to the bonuses above for those under 30 years of age, there is a very interesting one for those over 45 years of age.

Job hiring over 45

In this case, it aids in hiring people over 45 in new young and indefinite entrepreneurship projects. In this class, the conditions are similar to the previous point:

  • 100% reduction of the business quota for common contingencies
  • Maximum duration of 12 months, non-extendable
  • Until the unemployment rate drops below 15%

As you can see, these are conditions that you can take advantage of in your company. In addition, hiring an older worker gives you the experience your business will surely appreciate. There is another fascinating case with a business bonus for cases of contract conversion for first-time workers.

Contract conversion bonus

Without a doubt, one of the best bonus options in contracts for young people who want to go from temporary to permanent. In these cases, the reduction is not 100% but equally enjoyable.

The contract of a worker under 30 years of age, registered in the Employment Office, may be transformed when the 3-month minimum duration stipulated by the Ministry of Labor has passed. In this case, the conditions are:

  • 3 years duration
  • Until the unemployment rate drops below 15%
  • Conversion of the first young job contract into a permanent one

The reductions for this case vary depending on the sex of the worker:

  • Women: up to 700 euros per year
  • Men: up to 500 euros per year

Remember that you must meet all the conditions. Trying to apply reductions or bonuses without being able to could cause serious problems for the company.

Conclusions

In this post, we have exposed some interesting cases of labour contracting that you can take advantage of in your company. It’s just a first approximation. There are many other cases of bonuses for partial work or internship contracts, which we leave to discuss in another post.

Being up to date with labour legislation helps you take advantage of all its advantages. Not doing so means missing a good opportunity to improve your company’s numbers.
